Below are a list of extra credit opportunities by grade level.
Each assignment is worth 4 points that can be applied towards a summative grade! Assignments should be submitted via email or in class by 2/19/2020 in order to be included in the student's second trimester grade!
6th grade: students who win the following awards at the Invention Convention will receive extra credit: 1) Most creative design 2) most professional presentation and 3) most useful
7th grade: create a public service announcement in the format of a google slide OR paper brochure explaining what we know about the corona virus. Click here to be taken to an article about the virus. Your PSA should answer: 1) what is the corona virus? 2) how quickly and how does the virus spread? 3) what populations are most at risk? 4) what can people do to stay safe?
8th grade: create an info-graphic comparing heat and temperature. You can make a paper copy OR make a google slide. The info-graphic should include: 1) definitions of both terms 2) what do both things have in common 3) explanation as to how they are different 4) be neat and organized. Use this website in addition to your book to make your infographic.
