Homework: Thanksgiving break!

SCIENCE STUDENTS: No homework this week, but there are some opportunities for extra credit that are due on Monday, December 2nd. 
At the top of your extra credit paper, you should write:

6th grade:
Watch this TED-ed video on mass extinctions and answer questions #1-#4 on the THINK tab.

7th grade:
Watch this TED-ed video on poisonous animals and answer questions #1,4,6-7 on the THINK tab.

8th grade:
Watch this TED-ed video on breaking world records with physics and answer questions #2-3, #7-8 on the THINK tab.

Homework T2-2: Week of November 18th

SCIENCE STUDENTS: Click on the link to be taken to the article for homework. In the blog post below, your class has been assigned a TED-ED video to watch. Answer the quiz questions on the video on a separate sheet of notebook paper.

This homework requires access to the internet and audio. If you do not have these things, stay inside for indoor recess this week before Friday in order to get your homework completed!

STUDENTS:
Your homework this week is to answer specific book questions, as assigned in class on Tuesday, November 12th. You will need to bring your science book home in order do complete your homework.
All homework is due on FRIDAY November 15th and will be graded on correctness, so double check your answers!

6th grade:

LAST MINUTE 4 point EXTRA CREDIT

Extra credit is due by 8a on SATURDAY, November 9th!

You should turn in your extra credit in class to the extra credit folder OR email it to Ms. Hubbard by that time.

6th grade: Create a detailed drawing with labels that shows the differences between high relief geographic areas and low relief geographic areas. Be sure to label clearly landforms you would expect to find in each.

7th grade: Create a visually appealing venn-diagram that highlights 2 differences and 2 similarities between plants and animals. Your venn diagram should be informative and clear; in other words, if Ms. Hubbard was to make copies of it, it could be used as a teaching tool for other students.

8th grade: Create a free body diagram of a situation of your choice. Instructions on free body diagrams are here. You should make a drawing with accurate labels of all of the forces in your situation.
